May all beings be well, happy, calm and peaceful

Located in Clearwater, Florida, the main objective of the Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society is to make available the 2,600 year old teachings and meditation practices of the Buddha to the west coast of Florida.

Here you will find information about DWMS, our resident monk, Bhante Dhammawansha, our library, some of the etiquette involved with monks and temples, basic information about Buddhism as well as more specific information about our classes and events.  In addition,  please come back to check out our media section that includes a growing collection of media files, vegetarian recipes, and links that will hopefully be useful to your spiritual journey or simply to your curiosity ... EHIPASSIKO!

Above all, know that all are welcome to join us. If you have any questions feel free to ask any member for assistance.  You may also direct inquiries to our contact page.

Sunday School 1

Bhante Dhammawansha and a few of the smiling faces from our Sunday School group.

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.”
